January 19, 2006, COOK COUNTY, GEORGIA - A South Georgia woman whose child was mauled by a pit bull is now charged with murder.

Two-year-old Morgan Anderson died in July of 2004 when she was attacked by a bulldog mix at this house in Cook County. The child apparently went outside without her mother knowing and approached the dog that was chained in a neighbor's yard.

A Grand Jury has indicted the mother, Sonya Anderson, for felony murder. They've also charged Anderson, and the owner of the dog, Rebecca Daniels, with involuntary man slaughter, cruelty to children, and reckless conduct.
