April 27, 2005, GLOUCHESTER, CANADA -- A Gloucester man is facing bylaw charges after his Rottweiler bit a 12-year-old girl earlier this month.
12-year-old Jesse Head was walking home from a friends house when the dog jumped at her and bit her face.
Ottawa's Bylaw Services say the Rottweiler had been chained up in its yard but managed to break through the restraint.
Trevor Belgrave has been charged with allowing a dog to run at large, and allowing a dog to bite under Ontario's Dog Owner's Liability Act.
He has also been ordered to keep the dog muzzled at all times.
